StitchWitch Classes - Module Two
StitchWitch Module Two follows on from Module One and it broadens your sewing skill set. In this course we cover all the techniques for cutting, marking, sewing and finishing off garments made of woven fabrics. Overlocking tips and techniques are included and the garments that we demonstrate in class are more challenging and include closures pockets and facings.
Course Structure
Classes are presented once a week for five weeks on a demonstration basis. Additional hands on classes can be booked at an extra cost for one on one tuition and hands on sewing.

Week 1
- Measuring, tracing and cutting out
- Rules for sewing on woven fabric
- Facings and interfacings
- Slit and loop openings
- Overlocker tips and rules
Week 2
- Fold back collar on a jacket
- Darts
- Buttons and buttonholes
- Patch pockets
- Finishing off jackets
Week 3
- Wrap dress with bound edge
- Hemming circles
- In seam pocket
- Two in one waistband
Week 4
- Tab openings on golf shirts
- Knitted collar
- Bias binding
Week 5
- Blouse with collar and stand
- Cuffs
- Button stand
Course Fees
R2950.00 for tuition, includes a manual and five patterns. You will need to purchase fabric and sewing supplies each week to complete your homework task.
